2008 Saint Paul Star of the North Games, presented by Toyota

Entry Information

Competition Format
- This is a mixed-team format. Athletes will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 176 players accepted. Up to eight teams consisting of a max of twenty-two players each will be formed. Teams will be created by randomly assigning players based on skill level and position, so that all teams are as balanced as possible.
- All teams will be scheduled to play four games, two each day.
Eligibility
- This tournament is open to players who will be entering 9th grade in the fall of 2008 through players who will graduate from high school in 2008.
Rules
- High school league rules will govern play.
Registration Instructions
- Players must register as individuals. Please note high school team, school grade, primary position (attack/defense/midfield/goalie), and your skill level (advanced, intermediate, beginner) on your registration form.
- Registration fee includes a special Star of the North numbered team t-shirt.
- All players and their families are responsible for their own lodging and food during the tournament, if needed.
Venue
- The Star of the North girls’ lacrosse tournament will be played at the McMurray Athletic Fields, 1155 Jessamine Ave W, off of Lexington Ave. bordered by Jessamine to the south, and Como to the north, in the Como Park neighborhood of Saint Paul. Additional fields will a scheduled if needed.
Awards
- Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each division. Players will also receive a special Star of the North numbered team t-shirt, which is included in the registration fee.
Refund Policy
- In the case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to complete the tournament in its entirety. Fees are non-refundable if the tournament is canceled, shortened or otherwise modified in any way due to inclement weather.
