Stories From Star of the North Games 2011
Stay tuned! The games begin on Friday, June 17.
Background information:
Star of the North Games takes pride in attacting athletes and teams from all over the State of Minnesota. This year we are expecting 5,000 athletes that will be competing over the next two weekends. Combining athletes, coaches, parents, referees, and staff we expect approximatley 9,000-10,000 visitors that will come into St. Cloud.
This year our biggest team events include volleyball, lacrosse and soccer. Volleyball has 136 teams competing on Saturday and Sunday, lacrosse has 30 teams as well as 16 high school teams competing and soccer has 60 teams. The biggest individual sport is track and field with approximatley 200 athletes.
