Golf Information & Registration

Schedule update as of June 21, golf tee times will be consecutive between 12 noon and 1pm. You will need to be ready to play at noon.

Cost: 

Adults (18 holes): $45

Juniors 12-17 (18 holes): $35

Juniors 11 & under (9 holes): $20
(Fee includes green fee & event registration)

Note: Players with an All-City Golf Course Pass can register for the following prices:

Adults and Juniors (12-17): $25

Juniors (11-under): $15

* If there are more than 24 entrants in any single division, event will be broken into two A & B flights, based handicaps. If more than 36 entrants in any single division, event will be divided into A, B, and C flights.

Entry Information

• Competition Format
  • All Junior and Adult (9 & 18 hole) are individual stroke play format.
  • If there are more than 24 entrants in any single division, the sport director will break the tournament into A & B flights, based on handicaps. If there are more than 36 entrants in any single division, the event will be divided into A, B, and C flights. Medals will be awarded in each flight. This format is provided to provide equitable competition for golfers of all abilities and experience.
  • Physically challenged golfers are encouraged to register, and will be assigned to the appropriate flight, per their handicap.
• Eligibility
  • Open to all Minnesota residents. Amateur players only.
• Rules
  • U.S. Golf Association (USGA) summer rules and golf course local rules will apply. Individual scorecards must be attested by fellow participants and signed by player and submitted to competition committee without delay upon completion of round.
  • Golf shoes with soft spike only or tennis shoes. Shorts are permissible. Appropriate golf attire requested. Participants are responsible for their own equipment. Sharing clubs is not permitted. Golf balls must conform to the USGA list of approved balls.
• Special Registration Instructions
  • To facilitate assignment to the appropriate flight, all players must write their handicap on their registration form. On-line registrants will see a screen asking for their handicap. Golfers lacking an official handicap should write their predicted typical score for 9 or 18 holes, depending on the age group.

• Schedule
  • Tee-times will be posted on the Star of the North Games website after the close of registration
• Awards
  • Star of the North Games medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division. Medal winners at the 2010 Star of the North Games will earn an invitation to the 2011 State Games of America National Championships in San Diego.
• Refund Policy
  • No refunds will be given if a registered athlete fails to participate. Competitions will be conducted unless the Star of the North Games Board of Directors or Sport Director(s) determine the weather conditions to be potentially dangerous or life threatening. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
