Competition Format
Divers must register as either Novice or Competitive (not both).
NOVICE: (USD Novice divers welcome.) A five dive contest – both 1-meter and 3-meter events. All Novice divers shall perform a forward jump (100 A, B, or C) and a backward jump (200 A, B, or C), using a degree of difficulty (D.D.) of 1.0. These two jumps shall be done in any order at the beginning of the competition, plus three optional dives from different groups. Any dive on the FINA D.D. dive table may be used. The optional dives shall be calculated with their true D.D.
AGE GROUP COMPETITIVE DIVERS: A six-dive contest – both 1-meter and 3-meter events. All competitive divers will perform three voluntary dives from different categories using a D.D. of 1.8 on 1-meter (2.0 on 3-meter), and three optional dives using the dive’s true degree of difficulty.
Eligibility
Open to all Minnesota residents. Divers do not have to be registered with US Diving.

U.S. Diving (USD) rules and age requirements will apply. Official web site: http://www.usadiving.org.
Competition suits must meet USD standards.
Schedule of Events
7:00 - 8:00 am: check-in and on-site registration. Open boards for warm-up from 7:30 - 9:00 am. First event will begin at 9:00 am. Fifteen-minute warm-up between divisions. Meet director reserves the right to combine divisions.
Awards
Star of the North Games medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division.
